Ryed-Chai

1.5 oz J. Henry & Sons Four Grain Rye

.5 oz Chai simple syrup

3 dashes Blackstrap bitters

  • Rim glass with orange and dip in cinnamon-sugar mix.

  • Combine all ingredients into shaker with ice.

  • Shake & strain into glass

  • Top with 1 oz seltzer

  • Garnish: cinnamon stick

  • Reward yourself!

Chai Simple Syrup

2 C granulated sugar

2 C water

10 cinnamon sticks

10 chai tea bags

  • Place all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.

  • Bring to a low boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and mixture has thickened.

  • Strain the syrup with fine mesh strainer to separate the solids. Store in airtight container in fridge for several weeks (separation will occur – shake before use).
