Come Taste and Try Our Bourbon!
Last week we touched on the Top Shelf Winter Taste presented by Madison Magazine. This week, we’d like to give you as much detail as we’re able on that event and another tasting, this week, so you can decide for yourself if these are tastings that you should attend. Quite frankly, we think you should – reward yourself!
Finish your week, this Friday, March 17 at Oliver’s Public House from 4:30 – 6:30PM, or start your week on Monday, March 20 from 6:00 – 9:00PM at The Top Shelf Winter Taste at The Edgewater in downtown Madison. Join us Friday for a side-by-side tasting featuring Wisconsin Brewing Company‘s Wiskator and Bourbon Barrel Wiskator aged in J. Henry & Sons Wisconsin Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrels guided by Head Brewmaster Kirby Nelson and special guest Liz Henry.
Flights of both beers will be available along with a tasting of J. Henry Bourbon. Lastly, a cocktail featuring J. Henry Bourbon will also be available this night only. Although the event runs from 4:30 – 6:30 we will be selling the beer flight and cocktail all Friday evening. Oliver’s Public House https://www.facebook.com/events/392970341060513/
Monday at the Top Shelf Taste, when you come through the door, you’re provided with a free sampling glass. There will be a number of distillers, including J. Henry & Sons, pouring whiskeys and other spirits, breweries, including our friends at Wisconsin Brewing Company, meting out beer and ale, and wineries sampling their wines. This is a great way to sample our brand new, very limited release Bellefontaine Reserve, which is our extra-aged Wisconsin Straight Bourbon finished in ex-VSOP Cognac casks. People have been loving it and we think you will, too.
While we’d love it if you just came because of our unique Bourbon, we have to admit the event doesn’t just stop with drinks. What makes Top Shelf Winter Taste special is there will be plenty of food options, too. You’ll find a variety of choices from a selection of appetizers to decadent desserts and everything in between. Not only will the food be delicious, but it will help offset the effects of the alcohol.
Speaking of that, one of the event sponsors is Union Cab of Madison. If you’ve found you are unable to drive, Union Cab will be onsite to provide safe rides home. We hope you’ll take them up on their offer.
Barley Wine sounds like something you can drink at the event, and while one of the breweries may offer it, in this case, that’s the name of the jazz and blues band that will provide the live music while you’re eating and drinking. You’ll also find 100.5 ESPN radio is broadcasting live from the show.
Eat, drink and be merry. That sounds like an excellent way to spend a Monday evening after work.
If all of that isn’t enough, we’ll end it with mentioning this tasting event’s affordability. At only $25, it is easy to #RewardYourself by purchasing tickets from the Eventbrite website. We hope you’ll join us at Top Shelf Winter Taste, where you can find new ways to #DrinkBetterNotMore. Cheers!
